Pennant Education invites your kids to step into a world of imagination, creativity, and magic — all through the power of writing. This summer, give your child the chance to turn wild ideas, imaginary adventures, and fantastical characters into stories with Once Upon a Summer!
A Magical Summer of Storytelling and Imagination Starts Here!
What Your Child Will Experience:
Each week, students will explore a new literary element:
Week 1: Create a Hero
Build a character with depth, dreams, and a bit of mischief.Week 2: Discover a World
Design a setting where anything can happen — forests, castles, or moon colonies!Week 3: Plot the Journey
Bring it all together with conflict, magic, and a meaningful ending.
Along the way, they’ll learn about literary devices, sensory language, pacing, and storytelling tricks that bring writing to life.
Who is this camp for?
Children ages 8–13 who are:
- Curious, imaginative, or love telling stories
- New to writing or already filling notebooks with ideas
- Shy writers who need a confidence boost
- Looking for a fun, creative way to spend their summer
- Ready to turn screen time into something meaningful, educational, and inspiring
- Encouraged to develop their own imagination, instead of relying solely on pre-made characters and worlds
This camp is the perfect chance to help your child build confidence, strengthen their creative thinking, and discover the magic of storytelling — all in a guided, uplifting environment.
Camp Format:
- 3 weeks (July or August sessions)
- 2 live classes per week
- 60 minutes per session
- Small groups (max. 6 students)
- Taught live on Zoom
- Personalized feedback after last session
- Beautiful certificate of completion, celebrating their journey as a young author.
By the end of the camp… Your child will walk away with their very own original short story, crafted from start to finish — and the joy of knowing they’re a real writer
